Converting the disk is not a viable solution for me as it will break my
Windows-XP recovery partition, and I need that for (eventually) reinstalling
the original OEM-XP.
The recovery program used to create the image only accepts Fat partitions.

I did already, but I had to say that I have had this bug in history, not sure
if it was for Gutsy, Hardy or Intrepid-Alpha, but do not get this one in
Intrepid 8.10 release-candidate anymore.

Got some strange things... mostly the program does not want to close, but the
log does not show unusual things, and finishes with 'terminating' at the moment
the system kills the thread on my request (after been locked up for minutes)

Ubuntu-studio, to a standard Ubuntu install the boot-splash and closing splash

switched desktop-effects off, the screen reverts to normal blue borders.

I am sorry, but this is not yet fixed. As I connect my D80, the panel is
not able to respond to left mouseclicks, and right clicks for some
parts.
There is a window UNDER the current one, (with no mention of in the
frozen window-list-panel), only to be seen when the current window is
displaced.
With this evenings update, something has changed: The panel is not
frozen when connecting, but it freezes when disconnecting (unsecurely,
as there is no unmount visable).
Also still no files present for eye of gnome when double clicking on a
.jpg to open.
