Re: [SOGo] Outlook and rules
No one uses the rules in outlook? 2013/8/19 Fabio Onorini onofa...@gmail.com With google search I find: Whether or not a rule will be a server-side or client-side rule depends on the actions, conditions and exceptions that are selected in the message. When the rule contains an action or condition/exception that can only be performed by Outlook, then the rule turns into a client-side rule. If this action/condition/exception is also dependent on a specific configuration of Outlook then the rule will get the “on this machine only” condition as well. And move to folder action is server side rule condition. So I can't choose rules type. My pc is not joined to the domain, this can be the problem? 2013/8/19 Szládovics Péter p...@szladovics.hu 2013-08-19 16:31 keltezéssel, Fabio Onorini írta: I did not choose the type rule. I have outlook configured to communicate with a server exchange (sogo + OpenChange) and when I create a rule this is completely lost when saved. I understand that creating a script sieve, the filter works on the server side, but if a user only uses outlook how he can create rules? It seems that outlook not saved locally in Exchange configuration. Outlook side rules always stored on outlook side (in user's profile). [SOGo] Configuration Options for the SOGo Connector needed
Hello Some information about my setup I use Thunderbird for mailing, calendar, contacts and tasks Lightning is the Calendar addon for Thunderbird. I also have installed an Owncloud Server, and use the CalDav Plugin to sync my various Calendars in Thunderbird with OwnCloud Server. I maintain several seperat Calendars in Thunderbird - those are added to 1(one) specific Owncloud Userid in on my cloud. Also I maintain various addressbooks in Thunderbird (both version 17 and 24) and my Owncloud Server. As there is no support for multiple address books for a single user in Owncloud, I try to sync addressbooks from different users on my OwnCloud Server with a single User in Thunderbird. I use the SOGo Connector (version 17.0.5) to sync. This does not work as expected. I guess the reason is, that the only configuration option in the SOGo Connector is to enter the CardDav Server Address. There is no option to specify the Credentials UserID and PW for the SOGo CardDav connection. I wonder anyhow, what userid is actually used by the SOGo Connector. It seems that the CardDav Connector uses the same credentials as the CaldDav addon (would it work without the CalDav Addon??) Why do I think this is the case? Well - the address book of the specific CALDav user mentioned above is syncronized without errors. So my question is: Is there a plan or workaround to add UserID and PW credentials to the CardDAV configuration options for the SOGo Plugin connector? Many thanks for a fast response Karl52 -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

All Plug-Ins I know use Thunderbird for the authentication part. This means, they all have one user associated to one server URL in the password store. As you already connect to that server with another Plug-In, Thunderbird will reuse its username and password for SOGo Connector too. What you can do is using another URL e.g. by setting an alias in your host file for the same IP. Or you can give the credential as part of the URL. syntax: https://username1:passw...@owncloud.example.com/. The drawback of this way, you have to set the password in plain text into the config.
