The OP's crash was specific to connecting with the RealVNC Viewer, so
that strongly suggests that there is a bug in the server related to
decoding non-Tight RFB protocol streams.
The "XIO: fatal IO error 11" message always occurs when the TurboVNC
Server dies unexpectedly or is killed.

The OP is having a problem with TurboVNC, not VirtualGL. The nVidia
