i recently found a couple gallon wide-mouth jars, and made a couple gallon batchs with my colloid master, seeding the startup with less than 2 oz of a previous batch that was about 60uS. it took about 8 hours to make them, one at about 36uS, the other at about 25uS. these were quite clear, and after more than a week no fallout or color. eventually the stronger one produced a bit of fallout. the colloid master max voltage is about 30VDC, and polarity switches. i use 10ga ultra pure wire (atlasnova-thank you again) instead of the strips that came with the machine; more surface area but also spread further apart.
