netstat -a|grep rsync shows :
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# netstat -a|grep rsync
tcp        0      0 *:rsync                     *:*
                     LISTEN
tcp        0      0 *:rsync                     *:*
                     LISTEN
You have new mail in /var/spool/mail/root
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]#
and this is what I got when i ran the "rsync
imageservername::scripts ." command
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# rsync linuxghostserver::scripts
.
rsync: getaddrinfo: linuxghostserver 873: Name or
service not known
rsync error: error in socket IO (code 10) at
clientserver.c(94)

but then i specified the actual ip address of the
ghostserver and got:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# rsync ***.**.**.***::scripts .
client: nothing to do: perhaps you need to specify
some filenames or the --recursive option?

what do I do from here.My server is a dell gx260 and
the client is gx270.could that be affecting it ??
if so how do i get around it
Thanks
