Let's make sure we're clear here... the image you are trying to place on the box is linux, but the box you are trying to place an image on originally did not have linux on it, right? If your target box is starting with another os, no matter, it'll get deleted. if your source image isn't linux.....well, not sure how you'd have created it. So...to summarize, rsync is working on image server, but target server boots from autoinstall cd and gives an error.
