Always have liked the all too human trait of trying to justify by
comparison.

If A is acceptable, than anything less than A must be acceptable as well,
eh?

Makes a cumulative toxicologists life a genuine nightmare though.

Nothing personal. Just amazingly amusing the number of times this rationale
has come up and the number of people who have used it in this thread.

When we were children it was called the "He did it first!" principle. Oddly
enough, it didn't seem to "fly" too terribly well back then either.
