If the level is going to rise by that amount, then I would expect to see a 
meter rise every decade, which is not happening.  Someone needs to calculate 
the amount of heat energy required to melt all of that ice and realize that 
this must come in addition to the heat that causes the air temperature to rise.


Don't you think that all that newly melted ice would behave like placing ice 
cubes into warm water?  I suspect that you were being a bit sarcastic in your 
response.


Nuclear war has almost occurred at least one documented time when a single guy 
would not agree to launch against his orders.  And, this was when the countries 
that might initiate it were much more reasonable than those that now control 
the trigger.  I will be pleasantly surprised if a nuclear exchange does not 
occur within the next 50 years, and we can only hope that it will be restricted 
to the local region.
