Hi Quentin :) oops, my request wasn't carefully worded, I'm sorry and I might have misunderstood the links I found by my own.
I don't want to install 64 Studio by an USB stick (even if this would be interesting too), I would like to have a 64 Studio 3.0 beta2 install on an USB stick. I found a German howto, but I would call this a dirty solution: 1. Disconnect the hard disks (this is what I call "dirty") 2. Connect the USB stick 3. Installation from Ubuntu Live-CD, by using the second format mode (the original author has forgotten what it's called) 4. After it's installed to the USB stick, connect the hard disks again and edit the boot sequence Doing it this way, it might be possible just by varying the 3. step: 3. Install from 64 Studio 3.0 beta2 install media and format the stick with FAT32 If this should work, I don't understand why there should be the need to disconnect the hard disks ;), that's why I guess it's more complicated. I'll google for this tonight and read more careful. I should get the ordered USB stick tomorrow. The new DVD drive I ordered too, a LG GH22LS30.AUAU10B is able to do LightScribe. I guess I saw a Linux application for that yesterday. This night I should have the time to google for USB installs and LightScribe software (more carefully then yesterday). I was asking for the USB install before I did much research myself, because I want to know, if I can follow Ubuntu howtos and if it will be a complicated process to install a Linux to an USB stick, if it's possible to install Hardy on the USB stick and to upgrade Hardy to 64 Studio 3.0 beta2. Maybe the install media for 64 Studio is missing an option that is included to the Ubuntu install media (and maybe there will be no difference between the Hardy and 3.0 beta2 install media).
