Hi Gustin :)

I ONCE build the actually kernel which was 2.6.24.7-rt17 ;), I didn't
build it yesterday. The information is, that DVD-RAM is comfortable to
use by kernels EX 2.6.22. This explains why there can be troubles with
64 Studio 2.1 and that there probably will be no trouble with 64 Studio
3.0 beta.

By the way, some hours ago the postman delivered the new USB stick,
which is a warranty exchange. The first USB stick has been used only 3
times before it gets broken, probably because the stick's controller is
susceptible for voltage fluctuation. Each computer power supply is
regulated/stabilized and I slot an overvoltage protection ahead. It's
recommended to connect the stick after the computer is turned on,
because of the impulse, when turning on the computer. My first USB stick
wasn't a friend, we'll see if the second USB stick will be my friend.

DVD-RAM are very safe media.

Something strange happened.
The DVD-RAM that wasn't fine for Windows any more, after it was used
with Linux, became fine again with Windows, but a new formated DVD-RAM,
that was fine with Windows, after using it with Linux, now is only fine
with Linux. I didn't figured out what's the reason for this and I won't
do it for the moment.

At home I'm importing data to Windows by reading an ext3 partition and
importing data by Linux reading ntfs partitions. I don't write data from
Windows to Linux partitions and I don't write data from Linux to Windows
partitions. For the moment exchanging data with other computers is done
by CDs and DVDs.

Cheers,
Ralf
