I guess most sales guys know that there is a margin control, so they won't digital overdrive equipment for playback that refers to full scale sine wave optimized margin controls and nothing else is to take care for the digital side. No theory about headroom is needed. But the bias points and saturation for the pre amp and amp on the analogue side will sound different for different kinds of masterings ;) at different loudnesses and different kinds of masterings are needed for Bob Marley and Mozart. Okay, this are not the only points. What do they do, if they need to sell dead articles? They e.g. wire speakers phased for the good products they don't need to get out of the store as fast as possible, but do it corect for stuff they need to get sold. Sales guys most times have enough knowledge, but evil intentions. AND it's the same with audio engineers that wrote books, most times they have just the intention to make money. _______________________________________________ 64studio-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.64studio.com/mailman/listinfo/64studio-users
