Install and run hwinfo to see what the driver names are.

hwinfo --usb
hwinfo --sound

No, something is going wrong, because of

alias snd-card-0 snd-ice1712
options snd-ice1712 index=0

the Envy24 card should be the default one hw:0. The sequence of the USB devices
should be unimportant, I guess both will use snd-usb-audio as driver and this
might cause confusion. Dunno. Test what will happen if you delete

alias snd-card-1 snd-usb-audio
options snd-usb-audio index=1

and only run it with

alias snd-card-0 snd-ice1712
options snd-ice1712 index=0

Did you reboot before you run your tests? /modprobe.d files will become active
after rebooting.

Those applications need the default, hw:0 sound device. If the audio
card is hw:2, they can't work.

What happens if you unplug your audio devices before booting?

>>> cat /etc/asound.conf
>>>

There is no such file for a 64 Studio 3.0-beta3 by a clean install.

Move it to your home folder and boot again. I guess this is the script
that makes your Envy24 card that now is hw:0 to hw:2.
