Hi Rosea, > By the way where is that jaunty-backports coming from?
We backport packages to multiple distros using the software Backporter, written by Free: http://trac.64studio.com/backporter/ For example, this repo: http://apt.64studio.com/backports/dists/jaunty-backports/ is used for backports for Transmission, the distro on the Indamixx, which is based on Jaunty. Our preference is for Debian stable or LTS versions of Ubuntu as base distros, but Hardy LTS is not up to date enough for the wireless networking features required in a netbook or web tablet. Free judged that it was easier to port Transmission to Jaunty than to backport all the NetworkManager 0.7 stuff to Hardy. So we went with Jaunty for Transmission 3.0 Cheers!
