That's because what you got was limited programs. To give you CD's for the
program would require creating CDs for those limited programs, more cost.
Copying files is much cheaper. In fact new computers seem to have stopped
supplying even the restore CD. Instead the create a restore partition on the
hard drive. With my Sony I had the optino to created my own, which of course
I did. One the CDs have been created I have the option to delte the restore
partition but I keep it because if somethinghappens to my restore disks I
can create new ones.
