Well, my Mac came with 6 cd's containing everything that was installed on it. It even came with a cd for reinstalling my Airport Extreme software. As far as buying a Windows based computer, My husband and I used to have our computers built by the tech who just serviced my Dell. If I should ever buy another windows based machine, I would go back to him. he always gave us copies of everything that was installed. better yet, I would buy a Mac desktop. The one I have now is a laptop. Arianne
