SILK: perhaps I came to the wrong place jinmmy my boy. For the sake of argument jimmy I'm assuming you have a computer, right? OK.. Now I'm also assuming you have a desktop on this computer right? OK now on this desktop I do believe you will find such Icons as Internet Explorer, Outlook Express, My documents, trash can, perhaps even an icon for anti-virus such as "Avast"for example.. well in addition there is another Icon (On my desktop it is in the upper left hand corner though I suppose it could be placed anywhere And (Suprise) this Icon is calle My Computer!! [The icon is actually a small computer} click on it & it will reveal "C" local station & tell you how many gB's are being used & how much free space C has.. It will also list 3,r diskette station (floppy) & it will list Cd-rom station..... Now in my original post concerning this phenomenon I said what was always in the upper left hand corner (Icon) "My Computer" is gone.. "I know jimmy my boy these are trying times with the hot weather & all but I hope I have made myself clear but lord & behold I solver the problem but thanx loads for yer help.. have a nice day jimmy....
