Thanks you for responding......the craziest thing happened. I opened the
tower and "dah" were 2 "two" !!!  hard drives! That explains the other
drive! Now I pulled them both out one is a 17 gb and the other a 20 gb well,
I want to keep the 20 gb in the computer and not the 17 gb so I pulled the
17 gb out and left the 20 gb and re-attached the cable. Now the computer is
NOT reading the hard drive at all! 

 

What would be the reason why the computer is not reading the hard drive?
Could the cable be bad? The computer did read both drives when they were
both in the computer so I don't see why it would have a problem reading one.

Not so, Partition Magic does non destructive partitioning, I use it all the 
time.
