Thanks you for responding......the craziest thing happened. I opened the tower and "dah" were 2 "two" !!! hard drives! That explains the other drive! Now I pulled them both out one is a 17 gb and the other a 20 gb well, I want to keep the 20 gb in the computer and not the 17 gb so I pulled the 17 gb out and left the 20 gb and re-attached the cable. Now the computer is NOT reading the hard drive at all!
What would be the reason why the computer is not reading the hard drive? Could the cable be bad? The computer did read both drives when they were both in the computer so I don't see why it would have a problem reading one. Thanks a million! Partition Magic is an excellent application! I use it too! I shouldhave suggested using that instead of my first suggestion earlier in thethread. I recently used Partition Magic on one of my daughter's PC'sthat had several partitions , and Partition Magic[http://www.partitio <http://www.partitionmagic.com/home_homeoffice/products/overview.jsp?pcid=sp &pvid=pm80> nmagic.com/home_homeoffice/products/overview.jsp?pcid=sp&pvid=pm80]was what I used to solve the problem. Now, my first suggestion"SwissKnife 3.22".[http://www.compuapp <http://www.compuapps.com/download/swissknife/Swissknife.htm> s.com/download/swissknife/Swissknife.htm] is a verygood Freeware. You'll have to check Norton's Site for their price. Theyboth work fast, easy and safe. >From across the Pond, [FmlyRnn] Ivan JIM wrote: Dragonfly, >I doubt that any software will allow you to modify the c: partition > without reinstalling. Not so, Partition Magic does non destructive partitioning, I use it allthe time. Jim --------------030006020504010307020308-- --------------------------------- How low will we go? Check out Yahoo!
