Just an update and a question - I'm still playing with several
browsers, etc. I've found out how much of a memory hog Opera
is! Been writing some comparison tables in my head that I was going
to report on...
I had almost decided on Firefox for a permanent browser; my settings
have been set for this. Yesterday I clicked on a valid link in my
email, Firefox came up with the page, but in the default toolbar
setting. That set off a red flag, and after I looked at the page, I
checked everything. All of my Firefox bookmarks have disappeared. I
recustomized the toolbarback to the way I had had it, closed it down,
and reopened it - same thing. Old toolbar, no bookmarks. Same thing
this morning - old toolbar, no bookmarks. So, please tell me - what
did I do that reset it all, and how do I keep from doing that again?
There used to be some places online that you could store your
bookmarks if I am remembering correctly. If I'm going to keep
switching and playing among browsers, this is teaching me that I
should store a copy of everything there...
And yes, I've been putting everything on C: that asks for it.
Thanks
Theresa
