Like Rupert you do not seem to have read Walters previous messages. He actually asked me for the Panda link so he could go for the 30 day trial. After that you still flooded him with lists despite my comment to you to leave him to choose. Now Emile comes into it with the suggestion and almost chiding remarks that Walter should have stuck with his favorite McAfee because AOL gives it free.
So why can't you and Emile leave Walter to decide. >From your Review offering I just pulled out this one piece . The Bottom Line Panda Software's Platinum Internet Security 2005 offers a full range of protection: Antivirus, AntiSpyware, Spam, and firewall. Daily updates combined with their TruPrevent technology help ensure even new threats don't go unnoticed. But all this protection won't tax your system - in our tests Panda had virtually no impact on system performance. At $50, which includes a year of updates and support, Platinum Internet Security is also one of the least expensive suites we've reviewed. -------Original Message------- From: Ivan Wilson Date: 23/12/2007 00:25:06 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [A-1-Computer_Tech] Help Virus protection Ian, We have been down this road many times! I am sure we will do it again! It is the User who makes the final decision. Most of the time the User will not let us know if any of the suggestions worked for them. Nevertheless, Ian I have to agree with "Rupert" on this one, Panda is a wonderful Program, [I run it on 1 of my PC's] but it is the only option of which you suggest, and if I recall, you did not back it up with any other [options] alternatives. Furthermore, it doesn't matter how many are in the "Thread" as long as the User is able or willing to read it all. I find that most do read all of the suggestions and I think that "Walter" has read most if not all that has been written by this wonderful Forum. Meanwhile, I have a little bit more to add to the Thread. I do hope that Walter give this a look see. I did let Walter make up his mind remember Rupert, and have you counted how many on this list jumped in with their choice for him and now Emile jumps in with his love of AOL, what is the difference pray.
