So I suggest that perhaps your best way forward now is to take the computer to a repair shop somewhere and let them try to sort it out for you. They will have the added advantage to any of us here on the forum of actually being able to see and hear what is happening. I can say with all honesty, that the advise you have been given so far is 100% accurate and in most cases would have resulted in positive outcome. We cannot see or hear what you can and that is the vital link in the chain. Can any of your friends try your microphone on their computers to see if it is working in the first place?, no amount of help and advise is ever going to make your microphone work if it is broken and needs replaceing.
