I don't know anything about the Word Processor, but I will comment on
the reformat notion.
When your computer is a bit older you DO need to think about being
able to reformat. The
older it gets the more likely you will have to do so.
I would not go a long time before I considered buying an external
drive. OR if your machine
has a CD or DVD rom burner you could copy your files to one and burn
the disk(s). If you don't
want to lose your data do something to save it. Then you can worry
about whether you need to
reinstall software or whatever to fix your problem.
