Thanks Emile,

Safe Mode with Command Prompt...I can get this far by using a Symantec/Norton 
recovery 
Boot disc. However I need assistance when I get as far as the command prompt. 

I thought that using CD to change directories would allow me to get into the C 
drive and 
do a scan followed by some form of recovery action. However I do not seem to be 
able to 
get beyond the CD prompt.

Do you have any suggestions?
