Are you USA or UK based. In the UK dial-up runs at 46kbps while the high
speed DSL runs at 100mbps or more.



I think you need to change provider or complain about the speed.



It seems from what you say that your connection shuts down if not used for a
few moments. This is most likely to be the way your connection was set up.



Do not shut your virus protection off while on line or things could get a
whole lot worse.



Your Firewall is the Windows one so I need to know what version Windows you
use to advise further.

A few firewalls. On windows even thou I don't use it . Even turned off 

My anti virus . Still says must turn off firewall well if I have some
