How big is your hard drive?
I would say, above all, remove the programs that you hardly ever use, or
use rarely. It's a good idea to make sure you keep all those original CDs
around in case you need to reinstall.
If you seriously make use of all the programs installed on your hard
drive, it might be worth upgrading to a bigger drive. Or perhaps adding a
second where you could store personal files and backups....
