Actually, yes. When pushed, she told me that I cannot use the ethernet from the 
desk top which the cable company installed and put it into the laptop and 
expect it to work. She said I should get a wireless adapter. That was after she 
told me I needed to contact the laptop maker for installation instructions. So 
I figured this was just too much work for me right now, and didn't want to 
necessarily pay extra for a wireless adapter. the cable co. told me that I 
could rent one for another few dollars each month, then the Walmart rep told me 
that I could buy a wireless adapter. i may do that in the future.

Walmart just sells it does not expect to teach you or fix your connection
problems.

Vista is like any other operating program. It needs you to know how to use
it.

I'll tell you this: I ordered a Dell laptop from Walmart, which was probably
a mistake because I couldn't figure out the customer service plan, meaning
that the booklet said if you ordered it from a retailer and needed help,
call the retailer. I'm sure Walmart knows nothing and wouldn't help me
setting it up. I tried setting it up, and I'm talking particularly with my
cable internet service. It was impossible. So I gave up. And took it back to
Walmart, which kindly accepted it back without any hassle. I really don't
know if it was Vista's fault, my fault, or my cable provider's fault, but I
gave up trying to connect.
