2 things, Christopher. Why did you call out Comcast if you think somehow bellsouth may be trying to win me back? (Which is one reason why I don't like bellsouth) and ... No. 2 thing is that it's running much much faster right now since I got rid of compaqconnections.exe for the most part (I interrupted it because it was like taking 1/2 hour to delete it and didn't want to ruin my computer)

Before you jump on the 'Where is the speed they promised me?' bandwagon, the speed of your connection is pursuant to several things: 1. Speed you agreed to(768kbps, 1Mbps, etc.) 2. Time of day(Internet traffic on the ISP's network are busier during certain times of the day, just like the roads/freeways people drive on are busier during rush-hour) 3. Type of connection(A land line/wired connection is far less likely to be hacked and, with the wireless connections, it is dependent on the foliage surrounding the home) I BellSouth may have a better offer because they want you back as a customer.
