Are you sure you downloaded the correct drivers? The HP support site lists 3 different 1350 printers: psc 1350 psc 1350v psc 1350xi So be sure to pick the right version, and then be sure to get the drivers for the right version of Windows you are running. The drivers come bundled with software so it'll be a big download. Before you try installing the drivers, first make sure older versions are uninstalled. You can usually do this from Control Panel, Add-Remove programs (not sure of your windows version, so can't give exact instructions). In the programs list look for any mention of HP programs and choose to "remove" or "uninstall" them. Be sure your printer is NOT connected to the PC and reboot. Now, look at the printer manual and start from scratch following the exact directions to install the printer. Instead of inserting the CD you'll just double-click the driver file you downloaded. Usually the instructions will tell you to NOT connect the printer until the installation utility prompts you to do so. If you connect it too soon the installation will fail - maybe that's what happened the other times you tried?
