yes and they suggested updating the firmware, but it has the latest version on 
it, and the router is not even a few weeks old.

Could the router or modem be defective?  Your ISP will probably send you 
a new modem free of charge.  If the router is still under warranty 
Linksys will likely replace it for free.  Have you tried emailing or 
calling Linksys tech support?
