she has said that some times when i am not online, hers is faster than when i 
am on, i am looking at my wireless status, under the network and sharing 
center, and it should be 300 mbps and its only 130, hers i think was 75 mbps, 
and her comp is brand new.

Yes, spyware can cause your connection speed to decrease.  It wouldn't 
decrease your actual speed, but if the spyware/virus is flooding your 
connection with sends and receives it could appear that your connection 
is slow. How are you measuring your speed?
Have you tried disconnecting each pc and using the other to see if one 
of the pc's is slowing the connection?
