Sometimes development stops because the application can do what the
developers would like it, and they ran out of user requests and
bugs. Maybe MusiXTeX is not open to our suggestions anymore, but although
I haven't look much at it, I'm pretty sure you have one healthy, solid,
stabil typesetting environment there
