I myself was in such a soup once at JNU. A prof volunteered to write for me. It is not easy to use your teacher as a scribe but in such situations may be one can try. Later on my dept allowed me the use of a computer to write my exam. I know things are not as relaxed everywhere as at JNU but keep trying is the only solution.
