That's very strange because I am also using jaws 11. After deleting an item
it begins reading from the top of the list. Of course I can hit the letter
of the next thing and resume from there but what if there a lot of items in
the list beginning with the same letter or number? It's an annoyance really
and has been since the beginning.
I would be interested in what settings give you the ability to resume
reading where you left off in the list?

Jean

Hello,
I am unclear about your problem,
I am using windows xp with jaws 11,
after deleting any items in windows explorer/my computer here jaws is
not reading whole list rather the focus will be on the next item, but
it will not be selected.

Dear All:

Now a question about windows explorer. Let's suppose you are arrowing
through a list of files, and you want to delete one or move it or something. After taking that action, jaws begins reading the list from the top. In a list containing dozens or hundreds of files this is very annoying. Is there any way to fix this? Is this a jaws problem or a windows explorer problem?

As always, any help much appreciated,

Jean
