Amar:
If I delete something from the desktop jaws does not begin reading from the
top. I think it reads from the next item in the row, not the column.
Either that or jaws begins reading at some random location within the list,
I'm not sure. The point being that it does not resume reading just after
the deleted file.
I hope that answers your question and again, thanks for any help.
Jean

That's very strange because I am also using jaws 11. After deleting an
item
it begins reading from the top of the list. Of course I can hit the
letter
of the next thing and resume from there but what if there a lot of items
in
the list beginning with the same letter or number? It's an annoyance
really
and has been since the beginning.
I would be interested in what settings give you the ability to resume
reading where you left off in the list?

Hello,
I am unclear about your problem,
I am using windows xp with jaws 11,
after deleting any items in windows explorer/my computer here jaws is
not reading whole list rather the focus will be on the next item, but
it will not be selected.

Dear All:
Now a question about windows explorer. Let's suppose you are arrowing
through a list of files, and you want to delete one or move it or
something.
After taking that action, jaws begins reading the list from the top.
In a
list containing dozens or hundreds of files this is very annoying. Is
there
any way to fix this? Is this a jaws problem or a windows explorer
problem?
As always, any help much appreciated,
Jean
