Hi
I an Pavan. I work for corporation bank. I joined as an officer in 2005. I an
blind and can work only on a computer using jaws.
My first year in the bank was very challenging as I was shifted from one
department to another as no one wanted me in their department.
This made me more determined and luckily I ended up in a division where
computer usage was very high and colleagues were youngsters.
With lot of determination I accepted and accomplished every work given to me.
Initially I was replying to customer complaints and my work was fully
appreciated.
As my colleagues got transferred I ended up being the senior official in the
division and was entrusted with the challenging task of rolling out new
products and undertaking system improvements and innovations.
When it came to promotions The bank has a fast track process for knowledgable
officials who have very good performance rating.
In this fast track process I happened to be the national topper which means
that my bosses have given me the highest possible marks for 3 years as the
average is considered for promotion process.
My performance as an employee and also in promotion process is well
appreciated. All colleagues today respect me which I never imagined was
possible with my acute disability.
So if you work hard with commitment and passion appraisal and rewards will take
care of themselves

Regards

Pavan Bolar
