Hi, This is a problem which every visually impaired person has been forced to confront at least once in his or her life.. There are a few ways of tackling this: Firstly, we should be able to portray our blindness in a positive manner.. The battle to compete in a world which has essentially been designed to cater to the needs of the sighted greatly enhances our problem-solving skills.. Employers are always looking for employees who have good problem-solving skills and the ability to think out of the box, so we should try to use this advantage to the best of our ability.. Secondly, we should be prepared to give convincing answers in order to address their key concerns. I don't think we should blame an employer for having some valid and justified concerns. This can be done by giving examples of other successful visually impaired people in that field, enumerating our previous accomplishments and sharing constructive methods of confronting various impediments that might arise in future. All the aforementioned actions reflect one's sincerity, genuine interest in getting the job and determination which are all highly sought-after qualities.
