Last night I fired up the old version of our application. It uses 4D 6.8.x and a previous version of A4D. There are also no cache related header tags in the dynamic pages. I could not reproduce the caching problem with IE 6.
I have only added the cache related meta tags to the new version in order to solve the caching problem.
We do not have a proxy on our network. I can not get a straight answer about our client's network. But we have asked, so it crossed our minds.
We had exactly the same problem about a year ago and found that it was proxy-related: particularly noticeable as the related display oddities could only be reproduced in the "proxied" network. Only mentioning this as it shows that this not be a new problem.
