I don't know how it works with sysvol replicas, but I guess it is similar to back link
attributes with users and groups. The user attribute "memberOf" is a back link
attribute which shows all the groups of which the user is a member. This attribute
cannot be modified on the user object. Instead the "member" attribute for the various
individual group objects must be modified.

What is a BACK LINK in ADSI? I am trying to set a member attribute for a
sysvol replica and it says I cannot set a Back link, or that is I owned
by the system.

Kevin,

What ARE the errors that you're getting with NTFRS? FRS log?

What are the errors that are showing up in th DS log, system log?

These will go a long way to helping us help you. Otherwise, MHO, we're
shooting in the dark.
