Greetings;
I hope I don't get kicked of the list for this. ;-)
no-one's kicking anyone off the list =)
There is an open source perl IDE available at
http://sourceforge.net/projects/open-perl-ide/
I haven't tried it but it appears to be up to date and under active development.
Seems interesting, but Win32 only. Any suggestions for Mac OSX? I'm using Subethaedit of all things right now:
http://www.codingmonkeys.de/subethaedit/
( and Komodo on Linux, of course )
cheers, JeffG
Good Luck! Dennis

Kinda a leading question to ask on a list sponsored by Active State. However, I honestly recommend their IDE Komodo. I use it at work and even registered a copy at home for personal use. It's only about 20$ for the personal edition and has all the things I need from an IDE (and more!). I have to admit I haven't tried other scripting IDEs for Perl, but I was familiar with Visual C++ prior to Komodo and was able to transition quickly.
Just my 2 cents.

I've finally committed myself to learn Perl. Is there a mature integrated development environment available? If not, what are the recommendations for Windows otherwise?
Thanks, Steve
