I should've been more explicit in my policy reference, in my experience the 
issue of reimbursement requests and certain periods of time is most often in 
the Travel area, hence, my citation of a travel policy.  Clearly, there can be 
other instances where "...employee fails to submit a reimbursement request 
after a certain period..." for other types of transaction (mobile devices, 
books, etc.)  but Travel is usually the big one.
