Hi John,

Your question covers a number of different policies related to IT resources and
how employees use and deploy such resources. I'd suggest you go scan through
the IT policy section of Indiana University
(http://policies.iu.edu/policies/categories/information-it/index.shtml) and
note particularly policies IT-01, IT-03, IT-12 and IT-19. Of course, all of
the policies are important but these four establish and support the strong IT
policy infrastructure in place here at the university.

Best,
T. Michael Ford

Subject: [acupa-l] Adminsitrative Access (Rights) to Computers Policy

We are evaluating our current practices in regard to granting Administrative
Access to employee computers. Currently, we do not allow Administrative Access
but allow a few exceptions. I am interested in finding out about relevant
policies at other institutions. I am especially interested in policies that
specifically allow Administrative Access for faculty.

Thank you.
