Hi Sheryl, We send out a "Controller's Newsletter" usually once a month if there is news. We have a communications structure where we email the newsletter to the Lead Administrators and Operations Managers (business offices for all areas) and they are responsible for the trickle down. We have done this for years so administrators know to look at the newsletter for policy updates. It works better in some areas than others but it cuts down on the " I didn't know about it". If there is a major change that affects a target audience then we often also send a targeted communication to that group. It's basically a form letter that I can add detail to regarding what the change is.
I hope this helps, Sue From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Rippke, Sheryl L [U CSL] Sent: Thursday, November 06, 2014 10:53 AM To: Institutional policy-related discussions ([email protected]) Subject: [acupa-l] Periodic Policy Communication to University Community Good morning! Does anyone out there send out an annual (or otherwise periodic) newsletter-type communication to the university community to update them on what's new and important for them to know in the policy realm? I've been asked to do this on occasion, but it seems that at email blast of this sort would not rank high on the scale of reader interest. If anyone does or has done something like this, I would appreciate hearing about your strategy and results. We already have policy news on the Policy Library home page, but I'm talking about something that would go directly to people. Thank you!
