Hi Heather,

The Responsible Oversight Executive of ODU's Code of Ethics Policy is the Vice
President for Human Resources. Since the President is the executor of all
university policies, we avoid listing him as the Responsible Executive. We try
to assign a VP area, if feasible, but when a policy doesn't really fall under
any one VP area, we will assign the University Counsel as the ROE.

Our Code of Ethics is prominently posted on our website to stress its
importance, in addition to it being listed as a University policy.

Have a great day!

Donna

Subject: [acupa-l] Ownership of Ethics Policy

Good morning,

Before sending this request I checked the archives since I was almost certain
we'd discussed this in the past. I found a thread from September 2014 where
several people shared their Code of Ethics. Close, but not close enough. I'm
looking to find out who "owns" or is the Responsible Executive for your ethics
policy. Ours currently sits under the Provost but we are considering a move to
the President's Office - tone at the top, of course.

Thanks in advance,
Heather
