Our University's Code of Ethics is a Board of Trustees policy. At our
institution, policies of the Board and the President are entitled
"regulations". Here is the link to our Governing Regulation, "Ethical
Principles and Code of Conduct": http://www.uky.edu/regs/files/gr/gr14.pdf

Like some others who have already responded, our Code contains the usual
sections such as conflicts of interest, conflicts of commitment,
anti-harassment, amorous relationships, misuse of university resources,
whistleblower protection, nepotism, etc.. If problems arise related to
specific sections of the Code, the appropriate office would manage the problem
in their respective area. For example, HR for nepotism, Equal Opportunity for
discrimination, etc.

Subject: [acupa-l] Ownership of Ethics Policy

Good morning,

Before sending this request I checked the archives since I was almost certain
we'd discussed this in the past. I found a thread from September 2014 where
several people shared their Code of Ethics. Close, but not close enough. I'm
looking to find out who "owns" or is the Responsible Executive for your ethics
policy. Ours currently sits under the Provost but we are considering a move to
the President's Office - tone at the top, of course.

Thanks in advance,
Heather
