Many thanks to everyone! From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Rebecca G. Deardorff Sent: Thursday, August 27, 2015 10:39 AM To: 'Association of College and University Policy Administrators' Subject: RE:[acupa-l] Ownership of Ethics Policy
Hi Heather, The University's Ethics Advisor is now the head of Internal Audit here. This function had lived previously in the Office of the President. In addition, we follow rules and guidance by Washington State's Executive Ethics Board per statute, and our Board of Regents maintains its own Statement of Ethical Principles which is part of their Governance Committee's role to monitor. I found a thread from September 2014 where several people shared their Code of Ethics. Close, but not close enough. I'm looking to find out who "owns" or is the Responsible Executive for your ethics policy. Ours currently sits under the Provost but we are considering a move to the President's Office - tone at the top, of course. Thanks in advance, Heather Heather M.
