Leah,

We do not have a university-wide policy on space reservations in general, or
one that cites weddings. Similar to Joshua's response, we do have some units
who wanted to put some local policy language in place specific to their
facilities.

An example of wedding specific policy language here at Ohio State would be how
the Ohio Union addresses wedding reservations (HH) located at the end of this
document. This link in particular is unit-specific, related to the governance
of their facility.

We also have a general event guide for planning events on campus that may be
helpful: http://planevents.osu.edu/.

Good luck!

Subject: [acupa-l] Events (specifically wedding) policies

Hello ACUPA members,

I am writing to gain an understanding of what policies other universities may
have adopted regarding renting out space or facilities for weddings. Our
current policy states that weddings are prohibited on campus and a task force
is being formed to look into changing that policy.

Any thoughts or advice on how to proceed would be welcome.

Thank you.
