Hi All,

Don't forget the implications of UBI (unrelated Business Income). If you are
sticking with educational related events, then you are probably not crossing
into UBI, but once you open to weddings, parties, and receptions you've moved
on to the slippery slope.

Hi Leah,

Iowa State's policy on facilities
use<http://www.policy.iastate.edu/policy/facilities/use> mentions weddings and
links to another page regarding weddings on
campus<http://www.mu.iastate.edu/meeting-and-events/>.

Subject: [acupa-l] Events (specifically wedding) policies

Hello ACUPA members,

I am writing to gain an understanding of what policies other universities may
have adopted regarding renting out space or facilities for weddings. Our
current policy states that weddings are prohibited on campus and a task force
is being formed to look into changing that policy.

Any thoughts or advice on how to proceed would be welcome.

Thank you.
