For Colorado State University:
1 Where does policy management sit at your institution (Compliance
Office, HR, Other)? Office of Policy & Compliance reports to Vice President for
University Operations
2 Do you use a policy management software? If yes, which one? We have
a homegrown system
3 How many FTE’s are dedicated to policy management? 1.5
4 Are these FTE’s specifically a policy management position or is it part
of another position? The position of Executive Director for Policy, Risk &
Environmental Programs oversees Policy & Compliance, Risk Management and
Insurance, Environmental Health Services and another department, and is one and
the same person as the Director of Policy & Compliance—so, lots of titles for
just li’l ol’ me. The .5 is an administrative assistant who serves several
offices including mine.

Subject: [acupa-l] Policy Office and Resource Questions

Good Morning,

We are looking at more formalizing our policy administrative structure and were
wondering if schools would be willing to share information, specifically the
following questions. If there has been a formal survey that addresses this
information, maybe someone could kindly point me to where it is available.

I’d be happy to summarize the responses back to the group.

1 Where does policy management sit at your institution (Compliance
Office, HR, Other)?
2 Do you use a policy management software? If yes, which one?
3 How many FTE’s are dedicated to policy management?
4 Are these FTE’s specifically a policy management position or is it part
of another position?

Best Regards,
