My HP Media Center PC comes with the necc. ports to capture from composite, S-video and of course firewire and USB2.0 ports as well. I have yet to make a go of anything other than firewire for video capture as most of my footage is on miniDV and my hi8 camcorder is no longer functional (when I have all the tricks of video from miniDV down I'll rent or buy a suitable hi8 edit deck or digital8 and just go to firewire...but first I have 12 hours of miniDV to work with urgently and another 6 not so urgent)
