PC monitors have a different gamma (mid range contrast) from TVs and video monitors - if you're creating stuff for computer display as an end product then you will have to adjust brightness gamma and contrast. The fact that your camera monitor looks different is not surprising as camera have uncalibrated viewfinders and silly little TFT screens that will vary wildly in contrast, saturation and hue as you position yourself relative to the screen.
